Exploring the Trail
Northern Rivers Rail Trail
🚂 A Trail Reimagined
The NRRT is a 132km recreational pathway being lovingly restored along the historic rail corridor of the Northern Rivers. Open in stages, the Tweed section offers 24km of sealed, car-free track that winds through farmland, tunnels, and rainforest — perfect for walking, cycling, or just meandering at your own pace.
With Ecoasis only a short drive from several key trailheads, including Murwillumbah and Crabbes Creek, your rainforest getaway is also your launchpad for a deeper regional adventure.
🚴♂️ Your Trail, Your Way
From Ecoasis, you can:
Cycle or e-bike along the NRRT through cool, shaded tunnels and over historic bridges. Stay & Hire packages available. hiring your bike locally takes away the hassle of having to cart your own.
Stop for local fare in quaint towns like Mooball, Burringbar, and Murwillumbah
Pair your ride with a massage, or tea ceremony on your return to Ecoasis
Our retreat isn’t just a place to rest — it’s a place to recalibrate.
